How we rated these ergonomic mice

Each mouse gets seven row ratings out of 10. The ergonomic profile weights Comfort & shape at 35% and India value at 20%. Sensor, build, connectivity and software get 10% each, and responsiveness 5%. The method is the same across our best mouse, best wireless mouse and best gaming mouse lists.

Best ergonomic mouse by budget

Under ₹1,500

No mouse in this band reached 70, so we have no strong pick here. The closest are the Logitech M331 Silent Plus (69/100, ₹1,230 on Amazon.in), a quiet contoured mouse, and the Amkette XS Series Natural (69/100, ₹1,399 on Flipkart), the cheapest vertical mouse we would try: 95 g, 400–3,200 DPI, a side scroll wheel and a USB-C battery, though Amkette does not publish battery life. The Portronics Toad Ergo 4 (68/100, ₹806 on Amazon.in) is cheaper, but Portronics does not publish its weight, size or battery life.

₹1,500–3,000

The Logitech Signature M650 (76/100, ₹2,370 on Amazon.in) is the pick. It is a contoured, quiet mouse with up to 24 months on one AA battery. It is not vertical.

₹3,000–6,000

The Logitech MX Master 3S (87/100, ₹5,795 on Flipkart) is the best ergonomic mouse we rated at any price. For a vertical mouse, pick the Logitech Lift (82/100, ₹5,195 on Flipkart) or the MX Vertical (80/100, ₹4,995 on Flipkart). The Ergo M575 (78/100, ₹3,995 on Amazon.in) is the cheapest good trackball: right-hand, 145 g, and up to 24 months on one AA battery. A pricier M575S also exists, so check which model the listing ships.

Above ₹6,000

The Logitech MX Master 4 (84/100, ₹10,495 on Amazon.in) adds haptic feedback and a better build, but costs ₹4,700 more than the 3S. The MX Ergo S (81/100, ₹7,645 on Amazon.in) is the trackball to buy if you want a tilting design.

How to choose an ergonomic mouse

What makes a mouse ergonomic?

An ergonomic mouse changes how your hand and wrist sit while you work. There are three main designs.

  • Sculpted: a normal flat mouse with a raised back and a thumb rest. Easiest to switch to. MX Master 3S, MX Master 4, Signature M650 and M331 are in this group.

  • Vertical: you hold it in a handshake position, with your palm facing sideways. Logitech's Lift is built at a 57° angle. It takes a few days to get used to.

  • Trackball: the mouse stays still and your thumb moves a ball. Your arm hardly moves, which also saves desk space.

An ergonomic mouse may reduce strain for some people. It is not a treatment. If you have pain in your hand, wrist or arm that does not go away, see a doctor.

Which grip and hand size do you have?

Most people rest their whole palm on a sculpted mouse (palm grip); vertical mice and trackballs are also full-hand designs. Claw and fingertip grips suit small, light gaming mice better.

Hand size matters most with vertical mice. Logitech designs the Lift for small to medium hands. The MX Vertical is a bigger body: 120 mm tall and 79 mm wide, against the Lift's 108 mm and 70 mm. The MX Master 3S (124.9 mm long) and MX Master 4 (128.15 mm long) are also large mice. The Signature M650 standard size is for small to medium hands, and an M650 L exists for larger hands.

Other things to check

  • Pick the design you can live with. Sculpted is the easiest switch. Vertical needs a few days to adjust. A trackball needs the most practice.

  • Check your hand. Every Logitech trackball and the MX Master and MX Vertical mice here are right-hand only. Lift and Signature M650 L have left-hand versions.

  • Decide on battery type. AA mice (Lift, M575, M650, M331) run for months. Rechargeable mice (MX Master 3S and 4, MX Vertical, MX Ergo S) need a USB-C top-up.

Checklist

  • Measured or compared your hand against the mouse's size

  • Confirmed right-hand or left-hand version

  • Checked the exact model and edition on the listing (M575 vs M575S, 3S Standard vs Bluetooth Edition)

  • Checked that the seller is authorised, so the Logitech India warranty applies

  • Kept the GST invoice for warranty claims

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Buying the Lift for large hands. Logitech designs it for small to medium hands.

  • Expecting a mouse to fix pain. An ergonomic mouse may reduce strain for some people. Persistent pain needs a doctor, not a new mouse.

  • Judging a vertical mouse or trackball on day one. Both take time to get used to.

  • Trusting a big MRP discount blindly. MX Master 3S and MX Vertical sold at about half their MRPs. Check the seller.

FAQs

Which is the best ergonomic mouse in India?

The Logitech MX Master 3S is our top pick, with an ergonomic score of 87/100. It cost ₹5,795 on Flipkart on 5 November 2026.

Which is the best vertical mouse in India?

The Logitech Lift scores 82/100 and is the best vertical mouse we rated. It is designed for small to medium hands; larger hands may prefer the MX Vertical (80/100).

Is there a good ergonomic mouse under ₹1,500?

Not one that reached our 70-point bar. The Logitech M331 Silent Plus and Amkette XS Series Natural both score 69/100 and are the closest.

Can an ergonomic mouse cure wrist pain?

No. An ergonomic mouse may reduce strain for some people, but it is not a treatment. See a doctor if pain in your hand, wrist or arm persists.

Is a trackball better than a vertical mouse?

Neither is better for everyone. A trackball keeps your arm still and saves desk space; a vertical mouse keeps your palm turned sideways. Our best trackball, the MX Ergo S, scores 81/100 and the best vertical, the Lift, scores 82/100.

Are these mice available for left-handed users?

Some are. Logitech sells Lift in a left-hand version and Signature M650 L in a left-hand version. The MX Master 3S, MX Master 4, MX Vertical and both trackballs are right-hand only.
